The Well Edited Borough Home

A move from the “country” to the borough brought with it a need to restore an 1860 gem in the heart of Newtown, Bucks County. Careful thought went into selecting the material palette to keep the historic charm while bringing a fresh & personal approach to the new home. Low ceilings and a long footprint were challenges met head on with careful space planning and material balance. A new stair “tower” met the need for open circulation to the 2nd & 3rd floor while gaining natural light to counterbalance the low ceilings. It was a pleasure being an integral part of the family’s journey through the entire renovation process.
